WINSTON

well, its a long story...here's the short version... Dahna and I were on a long walk with Penelope. We were talking away, and kinda got lost in this neighborhood. We couldn't decide what direction to go in, so Dahna looked at me and said, "should we go right or left?"... we went left. not even a block later here comes this dog all by his lonesome. I looked at Dahna and said "I want a dog like that he is so cute!". He followed us for a bit. We found where he lived and the owners said they were trying to catch him all day, but couldn't. They said they couldn't handle him anymore and were going to take him to the pound. (they seem to have neglected the dog, and not been very nice to him)...we asked if "we catch the dog, can we take him home?" they said "we would pay you to take him". we tried to catch him for over an hour. but no luck. The owners said that they would call us when he finally settled down and came inside to eat. So, at 11pm we get a phone call and go pick him up...He is amazing. better than we could have hoped for, and is adjusting well. it will take some to for Penelope to get used to sharing her new space with him, but they will get there. Everyone, meet Winston...

new addition - Penelope

When Dahna (my roomate) and i decided to move out together, we made sure our new place was pet friendly...we were gonna wait till july, but last night dahna said to me "hey amanda, lets go to the humane shelter" so off we went. I immediately fell in love with this dog named henry. A vizsla mix. However, come to find out He was a quite aggressive playful dog. meaning he loved to play but didn't know how to really control his strength...so needless to say, i am still on the search for my furry little friend. however, Dahna found this little pointer mix. now name penelope. she is adorable hipper little obnoxious thing. she is also retarded. seriously. she has a neurological disorder that effects her hind legs. meaning she has this cute little swagger thing she does. it doesn't effect her brain. she is wild and needs some training, but we are committed! we couldn't be more excited!
